This is more than your average commercial thermostat. With a port on the back of the thermostat, you can control your Dali Lighting ballast directly from this thermostat, you can add remote I/O, and get data from the thermostat via modes on BACnet MS/TP.
ACI’S NEW A/CO2 SERIES: Room and Duct sensors only strengthen an already distinguished product lineup. The A/CO2 Series sensors are a cost-efficient means of monitoring carbon dioxide levels in industrial, school, and office-type environments. Output data can be used in conjunction with a Building Automation System or Demand Control Ventilation System.
DOE’s Crowdsourcing Initiative Seeks to Solve Buildings-Related Problems (Watch Video). Calling all building technology innovators! The Building Technologies Office is partnering with the successful SunShot Catalyst crowdsourcing initiative to identify and solve problems related to software development, data, and/or automation. Key interview take-aways are that the state of building analytics has improved significantly since 2011. As John says, “It’s impossible to monitor data and system operations manually.” Successful deployment of analytics results in increased comfort, reduced costs, and energy savings.

Tom Shircliff and Rob Murchinson, from Intelligent Buildings, a smart buildings Consulting Company out of Charlotte, NC, share their vast industry experience consulting building owners in over 85 cities around the world. One of the big takeaways is for building owners to take the small steps first whether they are dealing with energy and operational efficiencies or cyber security.
Rob Allen Breaks Down ClockWorks. Rob Allen caught up with Nicholas Gayeski, from KGS Buildings. Nick showed Rob a very cool analtyics package called Clock Works. KGS Buildings offers market leading automated diagnostics and building performance management software and services to facility managers, engineers, and service providers.

Few people understand more about nurturing ideas and waiting for the world to understand them than Bran Ferren. 2015 Haystack Connect Day One — General Session, Opening Comments, and Keynote Speakers.
